About the Role
The role of Digital Compliance Officer is within the Randstad enterprise digital compliance office, where you will join our growing global Digital Compliance team as a vital fourth member. This role bridges privacy, responsible AI, digital product compliance, and the operational execution of the overall digital compliance framework.
Moving away from "check-the-box" compliance efforts, our team operates as a collaborative business partner. You will help build and apply practical, sustainable compliance guidelines and controls in our digital ecosystem and operations (including AI chatbots, talent marketing platforms, and screening agents) across our global footprint

Key Responsibilities
- Privacy & AI Assessments: Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), AI and Data Ethics Assessments (AIDEA), product feature reviews to ensure issues are identified and addressed at the outset of new projects, products, and initiatives
- Global to Local: Support the roll-out of privacy and AI controls for global projects, products, and initiatives by liaising with local Randstad privacy leads and/or responsible AI officers
- Business Advisory: Serve as an approachable expert for business units (e.g., Talent Marketing, Product Development, Digital Innovation, Operational Excellence …) to advise on data protection or AI compliance issues in line with the Digital Compliance program, its policies and standards, and overall risk appetite
- Awareness: Develop and deliver privacy and responsible AI awareness and training materials to a wide variety of product, technology, and delivery stakeholders across our business
- Framework Operationalization: Analyze existing operational divisions to translate rigid regulatory concepts into clear, actionable, day-to-day operational guidelines.
- Continuous Assurance: : Support the execution of the digital compliance programme's GRC and continuous assurance tasks like periodic validation of privacy or responsible AI controls
Who You Are
- Experience & Expertise: 3 to 5 years of practical privacy compliance and/or responsible AI experience within a fast-paced, international, and complex environment.
- Core Skill Set: Proven track record in executing privacy impact assessments, and supporting delivery of compliance solutions from concept to delivery.
- AI Curiosity & Growth Mindset: While deep experience in Responsible AI is a bonus, a strong foundation in EU privacy combined with intellectual curiosity and a drive to upskill in AI compliance is fully acceptable.
- Pragmatic Problem Solver: Ability to work independently without relying solely on rigid standard practices, delivering practical solutions to real-world business challenges.
- Collaborative Mindset: A business-partnering attitude marked by optimism, an investigative nature, and effective communication skills
- Education & Languages: Master’s degree or equivalent higher education/experience preferred. Fluent written and spoken English is required.
- Certifications. Professional certifications (IAPP or other) are an advantage but not a requirement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to achieve such certifications on the job.
