principal treasury specialist at Randstad Global based in Zurich

your typical day includes

As an energetic junior team member you are, together with 4 experienced colleagues, the focal point of Randstad Group’s daily liquidity management. Funding (internal and/or external) should be available for all payments at the right place and time while minimizing the costs involved. This comprehends an agile way of working within a strict framework of rules and policies.

In pursuing treasury excellence you closely collaborate with a worldwide community of finance professionals. On top of that, you are part of a team generating treasury reporting for its stakeholders. The reporting should be lean, timely and over time adjusted in order to satisfy the objectives and/or audience.

key activities

  • Efficient global daily cash management including execution and supervision of treasury transactions as well as managing Randstad’s FX positions
  • Collecting, consolidating, verifying and analyzing cash flow forecasts which are provided by Randstad’s operating companies 
  • Managing financial risks (FX, interest and counterparty) within the agreed policies and advising where policies should be amended.
  • Arranging and/or restructuring of intra group funding while applying intercompany pricing policies
  • Joint responsibility for maintenance and integrity of all data in Randstad’s treasury management system (Nomentia), in which all external and internal positions and interest results are registered
  • Monthly reconciliation of treasury management system with accounting system in collaboration with back office
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly treasury reporting to the Executive Board and other HQ staff departments which requires collecting, processing and analyzing data
  • Control on efficient bank account management worldwide
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of global treasury
  • Maintain key banking relationships with the aim to learn about market developments and identify current and future funding opportunities.

the department

The team members of the global treasury department are located in either Amsterdam (Randstad HQ), Singapore and Zurich, and are together responsible for maintaining financial stability throughout the cycle, arranging funding, maintaining bank relations, managing foreign currency positions, interest positions and liquidity positions on Randstad group level.

The key working areas of the global treasury department are corporate finance, financial risk management, cash management and reporting. The global treasury department needs to continuously anticipate the strong demands and requirements of the Randstad organization, its customers and financial markets. 

your background

  • Master degree in business administration / economics
  • 1-2 years of treasury or finance experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Above average skills with spreadsheet and word processors (G-Suite) as well as Google Apps Script
  • Interest in Corporate finance
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • The position is located in Zurich
