Location: Remote/Diemen HQ
Department: Randstad Enterprise, Digital Office, Product Discovery Team
Reports to: Head of Product Discovery & Innovation

About the Role
The Product Discovery team is building the future of work by integrating advanced AI capabilities and intelligent agents into our product ecosystem. In partnership with the Head of Product Discovery, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for the strategy and shaping the product vision.
This position will be responsible for the discovery, and delivery of our Lifecycle Intelligence Agent (Lia), an AI-first talent platform with agentic capabilities. You will define how autonomous agents collaborate with humans to solve talent problems end-to-end -while ensuring trust, control, and real-world impact.
You will guide discovery and make trade-offs across AI capability, user experience, and business outcomes. This role requires deep product judgement, strong AI fluency, and the ability to lead in ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy
In partnership with the Head of Product Discovery, define and evolve the AI-first product strategy and vision (short term, medium term and long term) for Lia, balancing innovation with reliability, trust, and compliance
Define how AI-first capabilities, intelligent agents, and automation, support Randstad Enterprise business goals and transform the hiring lifecycle. Articulate how agentic systems create differentiated value for employers and candidates
Establish strategic priorities, outcome themes, and how the product differentiates against legacy tools
Using user research inputs and other data points, continuously identify unmet user needs, workflow friction, adoption barriers, and opportunity areas across sourcing, screening, assessments, and onboarding

Roadmap & prioritisation
The translation of product vision into a clear, outcome-driven roadmap, balancing short-term value delivery with scalable, long-term platform evolution
Define what is included, deferred, or removed from product releases to maintain focus, manage dependencies, and protect execution quality
Govern sequencing of initiatives across product features, AI capabilities, and platform foundations. Leverating JTBD framework as input for prioritization
Write clear product requirements and success metrics. Translate validated problems into clearly scoped product initiatives, including experience principles, AI behaviour expectations, and success criteria
Define the qualitative and quantitative ‘definition of done’ for agentic tasks, ensuring that AI responses meet Randstad branding requirements, including tone and language
Iterate the roadmap based on necessary inputs (product priorities, investments, product performance, AI behaviour and adoption outcomes)
Manage strategic trade-offs between new exciting AI & innovation ideas and core platform stability, ensuring the foundational data infrastructure can support advanced agentic behaviors
Own backlog prioritization and delivery outcomes

Agentic Product Design & Discovery
Partner with the Senior UX Designer and Product User Research and Adoption Manager to shape human-agent interaction models. Drive the design of how AI systems and intelligent agents are orchestrated within product experiences, including learning pathways, explainability patterns, and collaboration between humans and AI
Determine agent goals, boundaries, escalation paths, and success criteria
Define how AI-driven features and agentic capabilities operate in the product, including task scope, confidence thresholds, automation boundaries, and human-in-the-loop collaboration patterns
In partnership with the UX Designer and Engineering team, design mechanisms that ensure real-world usage, user feedback, and failure patterns continuously inform AI improvement and capability evolution. Iterate on agent behaviors based on real-world usage and feedback

Trust, Safety & Ethics
The establishment and operational enforcement of ethical and responsible AI design practices, including auditability, transparency, explainability, risk management, bias mitigation, user control, and regulatory readiness
Collaborate with Legal, Data Privacy and Compliance where required for guidance
Build user trust in autonomous behavior
Partner with Legal, Compliance and Data Privacy to anticipate the impact of the EU AI Act and other global regulations on Lia’s specific agentic workflows (e.g., automated screening)

Execution & Delivery
Make fast, informed decisions under uncertainty
Drive cross-functional alignment to ship high-impact capabilities
Oversee the engineering execution of product capabilities, platform development, AI integration, testing, and release management
Work cross-functionally with the product development team (UX designers, engineers, support, documentation, training team, and other related functions) and the wider team to deliver the roadmap

Engineering collaboration
Work closely with Product Engineering to:
define requirements and evaluation criteria
Prioritise AI investments - recommending buy/build decisions
Understand system constraints and trade-offs
Ensure product decisions are informed by AI performance, cost, and scalability

Customer advocacy & stakeholder collaboration
Work closely with service teams, sales, and customer success to align product strategy with company goals
Lead the requirement working groups and other key meetings with stakeholders to represent product in discussions
Champion customer needs by gathering feedback and ensuring product development aligns with strategic objectives

Go-To-Market Support
Partner with Product User Research and Adoption Manager, Product Transition Manager, our sales and services teams to develop effective messaging, positioning, and launch plans for new features and products
Preparation of product narrative, internal enablement, expectation-setting, and stakeholder alignment to support confident product rollout

Measurement & Iteration
Define, track and operationalise success metrics for:
Adoption (provided by Product User Research and Adoption Manager)
Agent effectiveness - measurable indicators to evaluate AI and product impact, including task success, reliability, explainability, trust signals, workflow effectiveness, and demonstrable customer value
Model performance monitoring - ongoing tracking of AI behaviour in live environments, including reliability, bias signals, drift, failure patterns, and trust indicators
User trust and satisfaction
Business impact - input to be provided by ExCo
Leverage data and analytics to track key product performance metrics and continuously optimize features.
