Strategic Sourcing Advisor | 12-Month Contract

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Advisor for a 12-month contract to lead critical, top-of-funnel sourcing strategies for our insurance client.

In a highly candidate-short market, this role completely moves away from reactive to proactive sourcing of key talent streams. You will operate as a true strategic peer to recruiters and hiring managers, owning the proactive talent pipeline before vacancies are even advertised. You will leverage market intelligence, map target organisations, and drive high-touch outreach campaigns to convert passive interest into active career conversations.

You will be supported directly by an offshore Sourcing Specialist, who will execute high-volume market research, database mining, and initial candidate list generation to fuel your strategy.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Sourcing & Talent Pipelining

• Own the end-to-end sourcing strategy for all insurance roles.
• Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines ahead of intake cycles.
• Translate data and market intelligence into highly targeted outreach campaigns, prioritising high-value passive candidates.
• Actively position the client's EVP, culture, and career pathways
• Drive high-touch engagement, including phone outreach and informal coffee catch-ups, to convert passive interest.

Market Intelligence & Talent Mapping

• Interpret industry organisation maps to identify high-value targets across key competitors and adjacent firms.
• Monitor and flag competitor shifts, such as competitor restructures, layoffs, promotions to track talent opportunities.
• Maintain a live talent intelligence view updated monthly to share with Talent Acquisition leadership and business stakeholders.
• Capture candidate sentiment data (drivers of hesitation, attraction levers) from screening activities to continuously evolve market positioning.

GBS Resource Supervision & Delivery

• Provide workflow direction and indirect supervision to a dedicated offshore GBS Sourcing Specialist.
• Oversee their weekly delivery of structured, ranked profile packs across databases
• Guide their organisation mapping efforts to ensure accurate tracking of structural shifts and talent movements.

Key Competencies & Requirements

• Industry Domain Knowledge: A background in Life Insurance, General Insurance, or broader Financial Services is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of the Claims business being a distinct advantage.
• Sourcing Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing complex sourcing assignments, talent mapping, and executing advanced search techniques in candidate-short environments.
• Commercial Drive & Resilience: Ability to work under pressure, self-motivate, and maintain a passion for results in a fast-paced environment.
• Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to partner with multi-location or global colleagues, while operating as a single point of contact and peer advisor to onshore recruiters and business leaders.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, resume patterns, and talent supply trends to build competitive awareness.
