how you will contribute

  • As a Staff Employee Officer at Randstad GCC, you play a crucial role in keeping talents healthy and returning them to work. You work with your own caseload where you advise and guide managers and talents through the absenteeism process during the first six weeks of absence. If you have a passion for everything related to absenteeism, enjoy having a lot of contact with people, and want to help sick talents get back on their feet as quickly as possible, this is the role for you!

your typical day includes

  • In this position, you spend most of your day on the phone. You call talents when they are sick, think along with them, and ask probing questions: how long do you expect to be absent? Are there things you can still do? What do you need for that? Naturally, you accurately record relevant information.

Then you switch with the intercedent (manager) who is responsible for the client where the talent works. You inform and advise on the recovery, making the work a lot easier for your colleagues. Is the case complex? Then you immediately involve your colleague, the advisor. You signal frequent absenteeism and provide advice when you expect short-term absenteeism will transition to (medium) long-term absenteeism.

your responsibilities include

  • Managing your own caseload during the first six weeks of talent absence.
  • Taking on administrative tasks related to the decisions of the UWV (Employee Insurance Agency).
  • Checking invoices.
  • Ensuring accurate recording of your conversations and case notes.

your background

  • Available for a minimum of 40 hours/week.
  • Experience in a customer contact function is a plus.

key capabilities

  • Language requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English is a must.
  • Bonus skills: Knowledge of Portuguese or Polish is considered an extra bonus!
  • Clear and concrete communication, capable of stating a talent's rights and obligations.
  • Ability to actively switch communication styles to get the maximum out of your conversations, as every talent and case requires a different approach.

  • Your team in the Netherlands, which consists of a senior advisor with coordinating tasks, supervisors, advisors, a reintegration specialist and a manager.
  • Our Global Capability Center (GCC) network in Budapest

  • Empathy: Empathy is the key word for this position. You have a lot of contact with sick talents, and your caring side is essential.
  • Tact and Discretion: You handle sensitive medical and personal information carefully.
  • Motivation: You know how to ask probing questions to look at what a talent can still do, motivating them to get back to work safely and quickly.
