The Role

We are seeking an International Legal Expert to join our APAC team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for client accounts in the APAC region while collaborating on global initiatives. You will act as a legal and commercial partner, guiding the business through contract negotiations, risk assessments, and complex cross-border solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Negotiation: Lead the drafting and negotiation of multi-country client and supplier contracts, including RPO and MSP agreements.
• Solution Verification: Use your knowledge of recruitment licensing, tax laws, and invoicing to verify global client solutions, liaising with local counsel as needed.
• Risk Management: Advise the business on legal and commercial risks, providing clear recommendations and obtaining necessary internal approvals.
• Operational Support: Handle contractual enquiries for active accounts, interpreting clauses and managing variations in scope or fees.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a client partner for multi-country accounts, hosting regular meetings to ensure legal matters progress smoothly.
• Liaison: Coordinate with local operating company counsel across the APAC region to ensure a unified legal approach.

Who You Are

• Qualified Professional: You are an admitted advocate and solicitor (Malaysia or other jurisdiction preferred) with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with in-house exposure.
• Subject Matter Expert: You have a strong foundation in contract law; experience in corporate or employment law within the staffing services industry is a significant advantage.
• Effective Communicator: You can explain complex legal issues clearly to sales and management teams and are confident negotiating in English.
• Commercially Minded: You are eager to understand business operations, technology, and pricing structures to provide holistic legal advice.
• Adaptable & Curious: You thrive in fast-paced environments, handle changing priorities with ease, and have a genuine interest in learning the laws of different jurisdictions and working across cultures.
