The role of the legal function is to guide the business and protect the company whilst remaining true to our core values and business principles. We advise and influence the business in a proactive manner so as to be a business partner in realizing our strategic and operational business goals, and also focus on identifying material legal risks and misbehavior in order to secure and preserve Randstad’s assets, reputation and integrity. how you will contribute
In this role you will take full ownership of critical legal and compliance matters for our global operations, headquartered in the Netherlands. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will be essential to protecting our company’s reputation and integrity. You will provide legal support to the legal professionals in the team, helping them to be more efficient and effective. You will also assist in ensuring compliance with policies, laws and regulations and act as a first point of contact for other global departments and the legal departments of the other Randstad Group companies worldwide and global business. You are passionate about corporate housekeeping.
your typical day includes
While no two days will be exactly the same, your tasks will vary based on team needs and how you manage your responsibilities. You can expect to connect with many colleagues, both within the global legal team and with other global functions (e.g. tax, treasury, business risk & audit, financial reporting) at the head office, as well as with legal teams in various markets. While some days allow for remote work, you are expected to work at the office for at least half the time to foster team connection and collaboration.

You have experience in corporate legal & compliance work in a law firm or in-house and are able to work independently in an international environment and in a matrix organization. You enjoy collaboration and a supporting role, and pay close attention to detail.

The global legal team, currently consisting of 26 people. The team is headed by the group general counsel and has five focus areas: corporate, compliance, data protection, tech & procurement, employment. It is a very diverse team in terms of nationalities, age and background and is characterized by an open and friendly atmosphere. You will report to the Director Compliance & Integrity.
