Key Facts

Location: Global HQ. Diemen, Netherlands (hybrid 2-5 days a week)

Experience Required: 2–5 years direct M&A experience (Investment Banking, M&A Boutique, Big4, or Corporate M&A)

Core Responsibilities: Financial modeling (DCF, merger models), due diligence coordination, investment memos

Reporting To: Managing Director, Global Head of Corporate Development and M&A

What does the Associate Corporate Development and M&A role involve?

As an Associate in the Corporate Development & M&A team, you will drive end-to-end transaction execution across global buy-side, sell-side, joint ventures, and divestments. Working directly alongside the Head of Corporate Development & M&A and the Global Executive Board, your primary focus includes:

  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Structuring complex financial models including discounted cash flow (DCF), merger models, trading multiples, and synergy impact analyses.
  • Deal Execution & Due Diligence: Managing virtual data rooms (VDRs), issuing non-binding offers, and leading cross-functional tracks across Legal, Tax, HR, Finance, and IT.
  • Market Screening: Mapping the global HR service landscape to qualify high-value strategic target opportunities.
  • Executive Decision Support: Drafting investment memos, board decks, and strategic narratives detailing transaction risks, financial mechanics, and post-merger integration tracking.
