About the role 

This is an exceptional opportunity for a competitive, sales-focused Senior/ Principal Recruitment Consultant, to join our highly collaborative Banking & Financial Services team based in Sydney CBD.

This is a high-impact, established desk covering the General Insurance market with a national remit spanning NSW, VIC, QLD, and WA. You will be inheriting an active market with a lucrative mix focused heavily on permanent recruitment (approx. 80–90% perm / 10–20% temp).

You will step into an agile, highly supportive environment alongside experienced leaders and team members. Working within a broader team of 15 finance & accounting recruiters  in Sydney, you will enjoy an industry-specific desk with full ownership, driving active business development and client engagement with a focus on rolling monthly outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage and grow an established 360-degree recruitment desk specializing in general, commercial or life insurance markets across Sydney and Nationally
  
  
• Drive proactive sales activity, through business development calls and client visits to secure new client partnerships, build visibility and new vacancies for your talent.
  
  
• Source, screen, and maintain a high-quality pipeline of insurance talent across claims, underwriting, and broking
  
  
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key enterprise clients, maintaining high conversion rates and consistent delivery
  

What we're looking for:

• A proven track record as an agency Senior/Principal Recruitment Consultant or an ambitious commercial sales professional looking to transition into recruitment (insurance industry background like account management, broking or client services is highly regarded)
  
  
• Prior experience or strong familiarity with the General Insurance market (commercial, retail or specialist classed) is preferred
  
  
• Strong business development acumen, proactive relationship-building skills, and a strong drive to hit an annual billing target
  
  
• A proactive, agile team player who thrives in a collaborative, social office culture where team wins and individual growth are celebrated
