HR Operations Team Lead (Global Capability Center- Workday & EU Scope) 

  • Location: Budapest, 13th District (1 office day per week / Hybrid)

how you will contribute

  • As part of our high-growth Global Capability Center (GCC) in Budapest, you will help build a centralized HR People Services & Solutions team dedicated to supporting our European markets. You will be the operational expert who balances technical Workday proficiency with a passion for leading people, making Workday the heartbeat of our operations and driving efficiency through automation and self-service. 

your typical day includes

  • You will drive the day-to-day delivery of HR services across our European entities. Your focus will be on leading a team of specialists to ensure every inquiry from onboarding to offboarding is handled with precision, speed, and empathy. You will monitor dashboards to manage workloads, act as a Workday functional lead to optimize workflows, and step in to guide your team or collaborate with stakeholders across Europe to resolve escalations and improve the overall employee experience. 

your responsibilities include

  • Service Delivery: Lead the daily operations of the HR Shared Service Center (Tier 1 & Tier 2), ensuring all queries are resolved within agreed SLAs.
  • Workday Champion: Act as the functional lead for Workday, maintaining data integrity, optimizing workflows, and training the team on new features.
  • Process Design: Identify bottlenecks in the employee lifecycle and implement Lean/Agile solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Payroll & Admin: Oversee the administrative accuracy of payroll inputs, contract management, and time & attendance for diverse EU countries.
  • Team Management & Capacity: Directly lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR specialists while managing resource planning to maintain high performance during peak periods.
  • Compliance & Quality: Maintain robust auditing structures, ensuring all processes are GDPR compliant and aligned with local EU labor laws, while utilizing metrics to identify process shifts.

your background

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, Shared Services, or Global Business Services (GBS).
  • Leadership: Proven experience as an operational manager leading cross-functional or multi-lingual teams.
  • Workday Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Workday (WD) is essential, with a clear understanding of how the platform drives HR efficiency.
  • Process Mindset: Expertise in process design, analysis, and optimization. Experience with Lean or SCRUM is a major plus.
