Role Purpose

We are recruiting for a Rates Management & Industrial Relations Business Partner on a full time permanent basis in Sydney. Rates management is fundamental to ensuring our systems support correct pay and charge rates applicable to our customers and internal workforce. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our system calculators function correctly, provide timely advice to the wider business, and utilise your knowledge of industrial relations fundamentals to determine appropriate award and classification structures.

Key Tasks and Duties

  • Rate Card Management: Develop, test, implement, and approve automated Rate Cards and calculators for new and existing clients using the Mfront system.
  • Helpdesk & Business Support: Review and respond to daily internal business tickets, resolving rates, quotes, and Enterprise Agreement queries.
  • Compliance Updates: Update the system to reflect local or company-wide statutory on-cost adjustments, award changes, and margin/mark-up increases.
  • Industrial Relations Collaboration: Partner closely with Business Partners to interpret client-based Enterprise Agreements, determine correct awards, and select proper classifications based on industry and occupation.
  • Risk Mitigation & Reporting: Proactively monitor and manage Enterprise Agreements to ensure current pay conditions match system back-ends, mitigating underpayment risks and delivering weekly usage reports.
  • Administration & Projects: Perform order and booking processes in the CRM and assist in project implementations or audit activities.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Strong numeracy skills and a high level of IT capability.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A sound working knowledge of state/federal awards, Enterprise Agreement structures, and industrial relations principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field or at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Highly Regarded: A background or experience in Finance, Accounting, or as a Business Analyst.
  • Professional fluency in English.

Salary for the role - $80k - $100k.
