Supplier Manager

The Strategic Supplier Management (SSM) team at RSR is a group of over 40 professionals across North America, EMEA, and APAC. Our mission is to connect our clients with the best talent and services by strategically managing our diverse supplier network. We leverage RSR's extensive global client portfolio and significant spend under management to connect client needs with optimal supplier capabilities. 

As a Supplier Manager, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional supplier management services for a varied client portfolio. You will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies for contingent labor, Statement of Work (SoW), and permanent hiring within your assigned programs. This role involves close collaboration with all pillars of the SSM team; other members of the Strategic Implementation Management Services group (SIMS); Delivery teams; and key client stakeholders in Human Resources, and Procurement. In addition, you will also play a vital role in managing relationships with existing third-party agencies and SoW providers, working hand-in-hand with our in-country teams. Beyond day to day management, you'll have the opportunity to lead or support key client and supplier initiatives, including strategic planning for new program implementations and transition plans for new Randstad solutions. Post ‘go live,’ the Supplier Manager will partner with operational colleagues to identify and drive initiatives such as optimization, cost analysis, and supplier performance reviews, ensuring best-in-class supplier management across all programs. 

 

your responsibilities

Supply chain:

  • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to negotiate and secure supplier Agreements. 
  • Oversee supplier performance within assigned programs to ensure adherence to MSP or SoW solution responsibilities.
  • Act as a strategic partner to operations, co- developing innovative supply chain strategies.
  • Engage directly with Tier 1 providers to foster strong partnerships.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial & quantitative analysis to measure delivery quality, timeliness, and supplier operations.
  • Advise on supplier management best practices for assigned MSP and SoW clients. 
  • Drive transformational cost optimization initiatives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key client stakeholders, building influence and trust.
  • Proactively consult with Delivery teams on continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of supplier management.

Supplier Negotiation

  • Negotiate cost effective supplier charges on behalf of RSR and our clients, focusing on impactful cost-saving initiatives.
  • Plan and execute supplier tender processes where appropriate, including preparing all necessary communication and proposal documents for submission by suppliers.

     

 Supplier Performance Management

  • Continually review and adapt supplier terms to align with current market conditions, driving change and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and utilize supplier (and client) dashboards, scorecards, and surveys for high level supplier performance management.
  • Coordinate with Delivery teams to optimize Randstad's supplier base and resolve operational challenges.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practices for improving supplier engagement and performance.
  • Conduct and lead regular business reviews with internal program stakeholders and clients to establish strategies for meeting business requirements.

Implementation management and Seamless Supplier Transition

  • Provide input to implementation plans, including timelines.
  • Successfully deliver against all SSM tasks and milestones within implementation plans.
  • Lead new program implementations and drive supplier strategy in consultation with clients and Delivery.
  • Consult and advise key client stakeholders on supplier best practices and adoption approaches.
  • Manage the transition of supplier contractual relationships from clients to RSR in connection with new implementations. This encompasses aligning with clients on supplier transition plans (i.e. identifying existing suppliers who add value and should continue to support program(s), preparing supplier communications, and serving as a point of contact for supplier contract inquiries.
  • Work closely with RSR Delivery and Contracts Manager to navigate supplier legal questions and resolve concerns.

Supplier Identification and Analysis

  • Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Supplier Relations Managers to propose alternative recruitment solutions when current activities are unsuccessful, reporting findings to client(s).
  • Analyze client skill profiles to inform future supplier requirements for assigned accounts.
  • Liaise directly with RSR Delivery Managers to analyze evolving third party supplier needs.
  • Build strategic relationships with key agency and SoW suppliers supporting assigned programs.
  • Support client implementations and expansion activities including data collection and validation.

Skills & Experience You Bring:

  • BS/BA in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in the staffing industry.
  • Proven experience in MSP and SOW supplier management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex operational, regulatory, and business information to draw clear conclusions.
  • A strong customer focus, coupled with exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A process-oriented mindset and a deep understanding of MSA and SOW contract language, data analytics, and supplier relationship dynamics including commercial, legal, and operational constructs. 

Salary Range:  110,400 - 165,600
