About the Role

As the SFMC Administrator, you will be the core technical guardian of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance. Your primary responsibility will be the configuration, ongoing maintenance, and governance of the platform across all business units (BUs). You will act as the key liaison between the marketing execution team and Global IT, ensuring the underlying infrastructure (data pipelines, domains, permissions) is robust, compliant, and optimized for high-volume, global campaigns.

This is a critical technical and governance role focused on system integrity, performance, and strategic scalability.

 

🔧 Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Maintenance

  • Configuration & Maintenance: Perform SFMC configuration and ongoing maintenance, ensuring system functionality and optimal performance.
  • Business Unit (BU) Management: Be responsible for all Business Unit (BU) configuration settings and best practices.
  • Support & Auditing: Responsible for day-to-day Marketing Cloud support and maintenance. Perform regular system audits to ensure proper functionality and document/lead internal support resolution processes.
  • User & Permissions: Provision and manage user roles and permissions in collaboration with Global IT support.

 

Technical Governance & IT Liaison

  • Infrastructure Management: Work closely with Global IT to manage essential technical components, including domain, subdomain, DNS configurations, SFTP, SSL, and send classification management.
  • Data Management: Collaborate closely with Global IT on the strategy and management of data pipelines feeding into SFMC.
  • Strategy & Scalability: Work with the GCC Team Lead to strategize a scalable solution for campaigns, journeys, and e-mails across countries and brands.

 

Knowledge & Guidance

  • SFMC Guidance: Provide expert Marketing Cloud configuration and guidance to the team, focusing on ongoing performance improvements.
  • Training & Documentation: Lead team members to learn and maintain SFMC knowledge, including best practices, processes, training materials, and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.

 

🧠 What You Will Bring

You are a technical specialist with a meticulous approach to platform administration and a commitment to data and system integrity.

  • SFMC Expertise: A minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with SFMC, focusing on system configuration and governance.
  • SQL Proficiency: 4+ years of experience in writing SQL-queries for data management, audience troubleshooting, and automation logic.
  • Integration Experience: Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to integration projects (e.g., Salesforce core, data warehouses, APIs).
  • Certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications, such as MC Administrator, are highly required.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Deep knowledge of digital marketing compliance standards, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on documentation and process adherence.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and multicultural environment.
